Book

Search for the reading list in Leganto by course code or title. If you get multiple results, make sure you select the correct copy (draft).

Then you can open the list and start the work:

1. When you want to add a book to the reading list, you must first search for the book. Click on "Add"
2. Then select "Search the library", (then you search in the library's search system Oria).
3. Enter your keywords (title, author or subject) and click the magnifying glass to search.

By default, Østfold University College is selected in the field "Search in".  You can also search in all Norwegian academic libraries if you cannot find the book in the HiØ library's collections. The screenshot below illustrates how to change the search to "Norwegian academic libraries"

How can you check if there is a newer edition of the book?

Note that the library's database often suggests several editions (versions) of the same title in the search response. The screenshow below shows that there are several editions of the book Biochemistry available. Click on the link and select the desired edition.

How can you move the book over to the reading list?

Once you have found the book and edition you want, you can move it to the reading list in two ways:

1. Either click on the green field with six dots, hold and drag the reference to the desired section in the reference list.

The screenshot below shows a reference with a green field with dots.

2. Or you can click on the green plus sign, and select section and click on Add

The screenshot below shows a reference, a green plus sign and the option to choose section.
